What is a Teleclass?
Usually it is one hour long interactive workshop conducted via a telephone conference call. You don't need any special equipment to participate - just a standard telephone and a finger to dial. It's like making a long distance call to a friend in Nevada and feels like attending your chamber of commerce seminar. But instead of making a connection with just one friend - you connect with a group of up to 30 people.
What happens during Teleclass?
After one ring (or after entering an extension #), you will be automatically connected to the conference call (if you come too early, you will get a free signal, or continuous ring until a second person joins in). You will be greeted as you enter the "class-room" (or shortly after if someone is speaking) and asked to introduce yourself. Some Teleclasses are presented entirely by the host - and they may introduce a guest speaker. One way or another it is interactive combination of information sharing by the instructors and participants. You will have an opportunity to introduce yourself to the group, ask questions and make comments. And if you choose so, you can just remain silent.
Teleclass is also a great opportunity to build your internet network. After the class you will receive a list of participants with their e-mail and websites, so that you can cultivate your new relationships (if you wish, you can be excluded from this list).
What number should I dial?
Prior to the class you will get a class confirmation with the special telephone number and when you dial that number, you're automatically and immediately in the "class room" (or after entering an extension #). There are no codes to remember, no button to push, no operator assistance. All participants dial the same telephone number at the scheduled time and connect automatically with the rest of the group. It's that simple!
Will I be asked to buy something?
Absolutely not! There will be no selling - although you will be informed where you can buy some of our training materials (or of the guests) or other things relevant to the topic. It is also possible that we mention the name of the sponsor but you will not be exposed to any sales presentation. The focus is information and training, not selling.
Why are they offered for free?
It is one of the ways we contribute to the community. There is also the obvious self-serving reason: making these workshops available allows people to get to know us and appreciate our level of knowledge, business experience and commitment - and that helps our business grow. Guests contribute their time and their knowledge for the same reason. It is fun, it is giving and it makes good business sense.
If it is free - why the long distance charge?
You pay for the call because it is your way to get there - just as you would pay for the gas and toll to drive to a seminar in your home town. Software for the Mind or our guests don't profit from your phone calls in any way. There are no hidden charges, only your own long distance provider (which should be no more than 5-7 dollars if you live in the US or Canada. And if it happens that you live in local area code - you make just a local call. By the way, I have to pay for my own connection too!
