Target Training International (TTI) has advanced the model and tested it worldwide while developing the amazing Managing For Success computer software. The software analyses your responses to a simple 10 minute questionnaire and produces a 20+ page report that is in plain language and full of amazing insights into your behaviour style. The reports clearly show you your DNA of Behaviour Style.
Dr. Marston did a unique thing, for a Doctor, he studied success. He studied 'normal healthy behaviour'. Most Doctors study disease and abnormality. Dr. Marston wanted to discover how to recognize and honour the natural abilities and talents of the healthy human being. Marston discovered that the behaviour of all human beings can be divided into four basic dimensions, Core styles, all of varying intensity: Most important to note how all four factors (and their intensities) relate to each other.
This chart is an overview of the four Core styles identified by Dr. Marston and some of the key traits identified by him and further research done over the years. The basic concept introduced over 80 years ago has been studied, verified, tested, and advanced by many researchers since the original model was defined by Dr. Marston. No one is only one style. Everyone is a unique combination of all four styles, although we tend to have one or two stronger than the others creating a Core or dominant style.
